Kidmoto Cleaning Fees

For your comfort when taking a Kidmoto ride with our car seats for your kids’ safety, our driver-partners need to maintain their vehicle and keep it clean for the next passenger. If you made a mess during the ride, we charge extra for the cleaning fee. The fee varies based on the level of cleaning needed.

When We Charge Cleaning Fees

Kidmoto requires all our driver-partners to use their own vehicles, those that are registered and insured under their name. Since we accept kids as a part of our passenger population, it is even more important to keep all our service vehicles clean and safe for the kids to stay in during the ride to or from the airport.

There are cases when kids might vomit, leave food stains, or spill their drinks during the car ride, during which we will add our cleaning fees to your car service fee. As with any other situation where kids are involved, you cannot 100% guarantee that incidents that will lead to messes like these can be prevented. They could vomit when they feel ill even before taking the Kidmoto ride, feel hungry during the ride and could not stop their small hands from touching the interior of the car or their car seat, or have their urine leaking through their diapers. So many things could happen that might leave our driver-partner’s car in a mess.

How Much We Charge for a Cleaning Fee

We charge a cleaning fee based on the severity of the mess and the two categories of cleaning required. We also observe the fees used by professional cleaning services to determine our cleaning fee charges. Just like with the rest of our transportation fee and extra charges, we can justify our cleaning fees.
We have the first category, which involves cleaning any interior mess. We charge $20 for a minor interior mess that only requires simple cleaning or vacuuming. This is usually charged for small messes like drink or food spills.

If the mess is moderate and requires more cleaning, you can be charged $50 for the cleaning fee. If any of the passengers vomited a bit inside a Kidmoto car, expect this fee to be added to your Kidmoto fee.
But if the mess ends up requiring seat belt cleaning, professional upholstery cleaning, and inside door window cleaning, we consider this a major mess that requires $120 in cleaning fees. If any of you ended up vomiting all the back seat or leaving a significant amount of bodily fluids in the car, especially spreading the mess to include the areas between the door and window, which are difficult to clean, it would require more intense, thorough cleaning.
The second category of cleaning fees is for passengers who made a mess on the car seats. Depending on which specific parts of the car seat are affected, the cleaning fees vary. In the same way that you would not want your kids to use an obviously dirty and smelly car seat, the next parent or guardian traveling with a child and booking with Kidmoto would feel the same way, too.

We charge $25 for a minor mess on the cushion of the car seat, probably bodily fluids, feces, or non-urine. You might want to make sure that your kids’ diaper is not leaking before securing them in the car seat.
If your kids made a medium mess on their car seats that requires the attention of a professional cleaner, we will add $60 to your Kidmoto car fees. It can be quite costly to get professional cleaning, hence this amount of extra charge.

If it is an even bigger mess that also calls for professional cleaners, we charge $90 on top of your normal Kidmoto rate. Don’t worry! Just like our cleaners, we strive for fair, accurate charging of cleaning fees, so you don’t have to be concerned about paying excessive fees. For an extreme damage or mess made to the car seat that now deems it unusable, Kidmoto will charge you $150.
We have to pay more for the cleaning it or buying an entirely new one to ensure that our next kid passengers will feel secure and safe in their car seats when we take them to or from the airport.
